Come join us at The Store in Ventnor on Saturday 22nd March @ 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. for a fun sgraffito workshop. One of the things I think of when I think of The Store (apart from it fab team and great food and coffee) is the ceramic wind chime bell.
So at this workshop you will have the opportunity to sgraffito a chime bell! Or if that doesn't take you're fancy you could choose to sgraffito either:
A cup
An indoor wall planter
The bell/cup/planter is pre-made by me and will be leather hard and ready to sgraffito!
You will also get some clay to make the decorative elements of your bell or a small item to go with your cup. That you could also slip-glaze and sgraffito.
The workshop will run for two hours.
I will then dry your pieces and put them through a bisque and glaze fire. If you make a ball I will then provide the macrame cord for you to assemble how you would like!
Saturday 22nd March 2-4 pm.
Everything you need will be provided.
*If you live off the island and would like your piece delivered via post -postage can be arranged at your cost.
** If you choose to sgraffito a cup, clear glaze is required to make it foodsafe. This will ensure it is food safe.
